# The bank account for your payouts

You manage the account that receives your [payouts](https://www.1pay.ch/en/docs/payouts-schedule/) under **Settings > Payout settings**.

## Adding or changing the account

1. Open **Settings > Payout settings**.
2. Click the option to add an account for payouts.
3. Choose the account currency and the bank's country (for CHF accounts: Switzerland or Liechtenstein).
4. Enter the BIC, **Account holder name** and IBAN.
5. Save.

## The rules to follow

- The account must be in the name of whoever holds the 1pay.ch account: the person for sole traders, the company for limited companies, the association for associations.
- The holder's name must match exactly the one registered with the bank, otherwise the bank may reject the transfer.
- A QR-IBAN cannot be used.

## Several currencies

You can have one account per currency: CHF, EUR, GBP and USD. You then choose the **Default currency**.

- If you take payments in a currency for which you have no account, the amount is converted to the default currency at the day's rate, with a 2% conversion fee.
- For Pay Plus payouts in USD to an account outside the United States, a 1% fee is added.

If you often take payments in euros, an EUR account saves you money.

## The payout description

Under **Payout description** you choose the text that appears on your bank statement, such as «1pay Shop». For Pay Plus payouts only the first 22 characters count, for Pay up to 140.
