Before you can receive real payments, we need to know who you are. This is not red tape for its own sake: anyone handling payments is required by law to identify their customers. The good news: everything happens online, usually in one go.<\/p>\n
<youraccount>.1pay.ch\/cadmin<\/code>.<\/li>\n- In the Dashboard<\/strong>, in the first steps, open the item for completing your account details. Alternatively, go to Payment providers<\/strong> and click Configure<\/strong> next to Pay<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- Fill in the four parts of the form: company, people, activity and bank account.<\/li>\n
- Check everything and submit the request.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
1. Company or organisation details<\/h2>\n\n- Legal form (sole trader, limited liability company, public limited company, association and so on).<\/li>\n
- The exact name, as it appears in the commercial register or the articles of association.<\/li>\n
- Commercial register number, if you have one. It is not compulsory for individuals, simple partnerships and associations.<\/li>\n
- Sector and address.<\/li>\n
- A document proving the company exists, such as the commercial register extract. It is optional for individuals and simple partnerships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
2. The people<\/h2>\n
State who can sign for the company and who owns 25% or more of it. If nobody reaches 25%, name whoever actually runs it. For each person we need:<\/p>\n
\n- name, date of birth, e-mail and telephone (in the format
+41791234567<\/code>);<\/li>\n- a valid ID in colour: passport, identity card (front and back) or driving licence (front and back);<\/li>\n
- proof of home address from the last 6 months: electricity, water or telephone bill, bank statement or a letter from an authority.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Files must be legible and in colour, show all four corners, be JPG, PNG or PDF, and be under 10 MB. You can upload them from your computer, or scan the QR code and photograph them with your phone. On bank statements you may cover the amounts.<\/p>\n
3. Your activity<\/h2>\n
State where you sell:<\/p>\n
\n- In person<\/strong>: type of point of sale (fixed location, mobile, events and markets), address and, for a fixed location, one photo from outside and one from inside (till or counter).<\/li>\n
- Online<\/strong>: the website where you use 1pay.ch, what you sell, who to and when you ask for payment. If you ship goods, also the delivery times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Describe your activity in concrete terms, as you would to someone who does not know you. Also estimate your monthly turnover and average payment amount, with some margin: if you expect CHF 15’000.- a month, enter CHF 20’000.-, for example.<\/p>\n
