How should you take payments?

Answer 5 questions and find out which 1pay.ch solution suits you: QR, Tap to Pay, terminal, payment link or online shop. It takes less than a minute.

How we choose the solution

The advice starts with where you take payments. At the counter and on the move, what matters is how many payments you take and whether you need a receipt: with a few payments QR Pay is enough, with no device at all; with an Android smartphone, Tap to Pay turns your phone into a terminal; with lots of payments or printed receipts a Nexgo terminal makes sense, the N86 with a printer or the compact N6, at CHF 25.- a month with the SIM included.

For remote payments, your website matters: with an online shop you connect 1pay.ch to the checkout, with a showcase website you add shop pages, and with no website you send a payment link by WhatsApp or email.

You do not have to pick just one: the same account gives you every feature, on every plan, including the free Starter plan. Only the fees change, and the fee calculator tells you which plan pays off.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use several solutions together?

Yes. A single 1pay.ch account gives you QR Pay, Tap to Pay, payment links, shop pages and e-commerce integration, on every plan. The POS terminal is the only extra cost, if you need one.

Does Tap to Pay work on iPhone?

Not for now: Tap to Pay only works on Android smartphones with NFC. With an iPhone you can take payments with QR Pay, payment links or a terminal.

How much does the terminal cost?

The Nexgo N86, with a printer, and the compact Nexgo N6 both cost CHF 25.- a month with the SIM included and no upfront costs. The minimum term is 12 months.

Do I need a terminal to accept TWINT?

No. With QR Pay the customer pays by scanning the code with the TWINT app, and with Tap to Pay the phone shows a TWINT code for the exact amount. A terminal makes sense if you take a lot of payments or need printed receipts.

How much does it cost to open an account?

Nothing. Signing up is free and on the Starter plan there is no monthly fee: you only pay a fee on each payment.
