How it is calculated
On Starter you pay no monthly fee and each online donation costs 2.9% + CHF 0.30. On Nonprofit you pay a monthly fee, from CHF 15.- a month paid monthly down to CHF 9.- a month on a 3-year term, and the online fee drops to 1.7% + CHF 0.20.
On a CHF 50.- donation the association keeps CHF 48.95 instead of CHF 48.25: 70 centimes more. With the CHF 9.- fee, Nonprofit pays for itself from about CHF 7’700.- raised in a year, roughly 13 donations of CHF 50.- a month.

Frequently asked questions
Recognised non-profit organisations such as associations, sports clubs and foundations. No commercial register entry is needed: your articles of association are enough.
The fee is CHF 15.- a month paid monthly, CHF 12.- on a one-year term, CHF 10.50 on two years and CHF 9.- on three years. Online fees are 1.7% + CHF 0.20; at the terminal, for TWINT and credit cards, 1.45% + CHF 0.20.
If you raise little or irregularly, yes: Starter has no monthly fee and you only pay when you get paid. Features are identical on every plan, so you give up nothing. When donations grow, run the numbers again.
With an average donation of CHF 50.- and the CHF 9.- fee (3-year term), from about CHF 7'700.- raised in a year. With the monthly CHF 15.- fee you need about CHF 12'900.-. With smaller average donations it pays off sooner, because the fixed amount weighs more.
