How much to charge to receive the net amount you want

Enter how much you want to receive and choose your plan: we tell you the price to charge for online payments with TWINT, cards and the other methods, fee included.

How it is calculated

The fee is worked out on the price paid, not on the net amount. That is why adding 2.9% is not enough: you need to divide. The price to charge is (net + fixed part) ÷ (1 − percentage). On the Starter plan, to receive CHF 100.- you charge CHF 103.30: the fee is CHF 3.30 and you keep CHF 100.-.

The calculator rounds the price up to the nearest 5 centimes, so you always keep at least the amount you asked for. It applies to online payments: payment link, QR Pay and payment page. The monthly fee of the paid plans is not included: to compare plans over a whole month, use the fee calculator.

Frequently asked questions

Why is adding 2.9% to the price not enough?

Because the fee is worked out on the amount paid, which is higher than the net amount. On CHF 102.90 the Starter fee is CHF 3.28, leaving CHF 99.62. Dividing by 0.971 makes the sums work.

Does it apply to terminal payments too?

No, the calculator uses the fees for online payments. You will find the fees for the POS terminal and Tap to Pay on the pricing page.

Is the monthly fee included?

No. The Starter plan has none; Small, Medium, Large and Nonprofit do. The calculator only shows the fee on a single payment.

Is the calculation saved?

No. The calculation runs in your browser and we neither send nor store any amounts.
