Two tricks that save time: URL parameters fill in the fields of the payment page for the customer, and placeholders personalise the e-mails you send.
URL parameters #
At the end of your page link, add a ? followed by name=value. Add further parameters with &. Spaces are written as %20, and decimals with a point.

Values for the interval: one_time, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually.
Example. A link to the fees campaign suggesting CHF 80.- a year: add ?donation[preselect_amount]=80&donation[preselect_interval]=annually. For the Terminal you will find a full example in Terminal.
Parameters are there for convenience: the customer can still see the link. Before delivering goods or services, always check the amount paid under Payments.
Placeholders in e-mails #
In Paylink and Donation e-mails you can insert words in square brackets that become the real details when sent. You change the text of Paylink e-mails in Notifications, under Paylink.

In donation thank-you e-mails, do not remove [DONATION_DETAILS]: it contains the donation summary. The option to show placeholders displays the full list directly in the admin area.
