Embedding a payment page in your website

A Page or a Donation campaign can be placed in your website, so the customer pays without looking elsewhere. No programming is needed: you copy a piece of code and paste it.

Where to find the code #

1. Open Pages > Overview (or Donation) and click the page you want to embed.
2. At the top, click the option to embed in a website.
3. On the left you choose the settings; on the right you see a live preview.
4. Copy the code and paste it into your website where you want the payment to appear. In WordPress use a «Custom HTML» block.

Three ways to embed it #

Button #

A button with the text you want («Pay», «Donate» or your own), in the language you choose and in your website’s style. On clicking, a window opens over the page or the customer moves to the payment page.

Link #

A simple text link, with the same options as the button.

iFrame #

The payment page appears inside your website, like a window within a window. Note two limits:

• PostFinance Pay and Coinbase do not appear inside an iFrame. To show them, add breakIframe=1 to the iFrame address: when paying, the customer leaves the iFrame and pays normally;
• Apple Pay cannot be shown inside an iFrame.

If you want to offer all methods without any worry, choose the button or the link.

Pre-filled amounts #

Here too you can use URL parameters, for example to suggest a starting amount.

Redirect after payment #

If the page is embedded as a button or iFrame, the redirect to your own thank-you page does not work. In that case, use the thank-you message of the page itself.
