Protecting access to your account

Real money passes through your admin area. A few habits are enough to keep it safe.

A password for 1pay.ch only #

Use a long password (at least 12 characters) that you use nowhere else. A password manager helps you remember it. To change it, click your name at the top left and open Account, or use the login settings option in the Dashboard.

One login per person #

Do not share your password with colleagues or committee members. Create a user for each with the right permissions: read Users and permissions. When someone leaves the team, remove their access.

Watch out for fake e-mails #

• The admin area always opens at <youraccount>.1pay.ch/cadmin. Check the address before entering your password.
• We will never ask for your password by e-mail, telephone or WhatsApp.
• Be wary of urgent messages asking you to change your bank account or «unblock» a payout.

API keys #

If you have connected a shop or management software, API keys are worth as much as a password. Read API & Plugins to keep them safe.

If you suspect unauthorised access #

1. Change your password immediately.
2. Check under User administration that there are no unknown users.
3. Check in the payout settings that the bank account is yours.
