When someone pays you online, they must be able to read your terms and know how you handle their data. In Settings > Legal you enter these texts once and use them in all tools.
What you can enter #
- Privacy policy: what data you collect, why and for how long.
- General terms and conditions: delivery, returns, cancellations, refunds.
- Legal notice: who you are and how to contact you. It also uses the details under Company.
- Custom footer link: for example a link to the terms published on your website.
Open each section with the +, write or paste the text and click Save.
Having customers accept them #
In each tool, under Form fields, you can make acceptance of the terms and privacy policy compulsory. The customer cannot pay without ticking the box. It is also a good defence in the event of disputes.
A word of caution #
1pay.ch does not write legal texts for you and cannot tell you what they must contain for your activity. If in doubt, ask your accountant or a lawyer.
