Products, variants and discount codes

Products are what you sell on your Pages. You create them once and link them to one or more pages.

Creating a product #

1. Open Pages > Products and click Add.
2. Leave Active switched on if the product should be visible.
3. Choose the Type: product, service, subscription, event, voucher, membership or tip.
4. Write the Name and Description (also in several languages with Multilanguage).
5. Under Price, choose a fixed amount or let the customer decide. The price includes VAT.
6. Upload Images: JPG, JPEG, GIF or PNG, at least 600 px wide or high, 10 MB at most.
7. Click Save.

Other useful options #

• Inventory: article number (SKU), quantity the customer can choose and stock count.
• Options: if the product comes in several variants (size, colour), add them here. Each variant can have its own price and article number. Stock is counted per product, not per variant.
• Assign product to a page: only pages with the same currency as the product can be linked.
• Schedule display: the product appears only from a date, until a date or in a period. Useful for offers and limited-time registrations.
• Google Merchant Center: publishes the product on Google Shopping (it needs at least one image and a price).
• Search engine optimisation: title and description for Google.

If you use VAT, first activate it and enter the rates in General settings.

Discount codes #

A discount code helps you launch a promotion or reward loyal customers. It works on Pages and in the Terminal.

1. Open Pages > Discount codes and click Add.
2. Choose where it applies: activate use in the Terminal or choose the Payment page (pages with a predefined amount only).
3. Write the Discount code, such as CHRISTMAS10.
4. Under Type, choose Fixed amount (such as CHF 10.-) or Percentage (such as 20%) and enter the Discount.
5. Under Expiry you can limit the available quantity (how many times it can be used) and the end date. If the fields stay empty, the code is valid without limit.
6. Save.

In the list you can see how many times each code was used and activate or deactivate it at any time.
